I'm going to Jackson

I've always had a soft spot for Joe Jackson. One of my most memorable gigs was seeing him live at the Hammersmith Odeon in 1989. He came on and, audaciously, proceeded to play his then current album 'Blaze of Glory' back to back in its entirety. A lot of acts do this now but back then it was practically unheard of. Thirty seven years later I think he's going to repeat the process with his new platter Hope and Fury which only came out a couple of weeks ago. Is it as good as Blaze of Glory, or even Night and Day? Too early to tell but it's growing on me, for sure. I'm going a bit further afield this time, Theatre Sebastopol in Lille to be precise. It's 90 minutes by train from London to Lille; quicker than it is from London to Nottingham. Crazy.
