Last night was a bit special. I went to see The Surfrajettes - who had come all the way from Canada to play their own distinctive brand reverb drenched surf music. They were playing at The Old Cold Store in Nottingham - a venue in town that just keeps going from strength to strength (they've got The Hanging Stars there in a couple of weeks). I first wrote about them during lockdown which, as we know, was a strange time for everyone (in the piece I mention seeing a ghost so, yeah, strange days indeed, most peculiar mama).
But no ghosts last night. Just four extremely talented musicians at the top of their game. Tight. Unstoppable. Funny. And red hot.
